Got through 2 more acts (although one was 30 seconds long)and the plot is developing a little more. So some thing or event called "Santa Cabeza" is linked with the zombies, the two homeland security agents I'm helping, the elusive doctor we just captured, and the two Spanish looking people who are avoiding/shooting us. Other than that I'm in the dark with 1 day left of the first round.
Rescued three more people, the two Japanese tourists and some guy injured by the zombies. the last one came in so close to the wire that I had a 30 second cap between when I completed it and when the next mission stated. I missed my first side-mission today, but it was to take out some crazy guy, so he would die either way.
I'm learning more about the mechanics though, such as weapons re-spawn in the same place every time I go down to the mall, even if I already have the item from last time. Also I'm learning that even certain zombies always span in the same locations, such as cop zombies with guns, and that orange juice fills up 4 heal slots.
Tomorrow till be tricky since I have two missions to do in under 15 minuets real time, and one is a rescue mission across the mall.
-Also picked up Mario Galaxy today, not sure how it will fit on my line up yet though.
