It took a bit of time to get adjusted to the mechanics of Dead Rising, it really is an unforgiving game.
Not only are you dumped into this mall with thousands of zombies with only what you can find to defend yourself, but you also need to rescue survivors, fight off crazy people, and all withing a fixed time limit, but you can only save at the half dozen or so locations spread around the map. so for a while much of what i was doing was running around, trying to save people and live, and then having to do it all over again when I die. At least all that repetition familiarized me with the controls, so far Frank moved like a wounded gorilla, I hop that improves as he levels up.
So far I've completed all of the first act, killed 300 zombies (jacking a car helped), and saved the flowing people:
-2 people trapped on the roof.
-1 person trapped in a jewelry store after her baby was eaten.
-1 person trapped in the park after psychos killed her husband.
-2 people who were traped in a shoe store after they barricaded themselves in.
Tomorrow it's time to try and save 2 Japanese tourists trapped in a book store.
