Persona 4 - Day 13

With all the chaos of the holiday season I had to take a break from this blog, but now I'm back!

June 6th

Kanji finally is able to come back to school today and after school on the roof he explains the the gang what happened to him. He says that after his talk with GIRL he had the strange urge to talk with her again, partly leading to his mindset at the time, then after chasing the team off all that he could remember was that he felt a weird presence at home then found himself entering a TV.

Kanji is then determined to help the team out in solving the case and with him on the team the social link rank increases again!

The meeting then moves to the Junes food court where Yosuke confirms my theory that all the victims were seen on TV before they were abducted, now they just need to figure out why the killer does it and who it is. Chie also mentions that next week is the school camping trip and they need to get ready for that too.

The meeting concludes inside the TV where Kanji formally meet Teddie, and is overwhelmed by his fuzziness and wants to pet him. Unlike when the girls want to pet him Teddie refuses, I guess that shows that he really is a male. As a joke Teddie also gives Kanji the joke glasses, much to his frustration, before giving him a sleek real pair.

Back at home that night Tokka spends some time talking with Dojima, yet it doesn't increase their social link rank.

June 7th

A pretty simple day today, Tokka finally had enough courage to ask Ai, the stuck up "soccer manager", to hang out and she agrees if they skip classes some time. After school Tokka visits the fox at the shrine to tell it about the snack quest being completed, and increasing their social link!

June 8th

At school King Moron orders Tokka to go and volunteer today at the school student clinic since they are short on staff. Tokka gets there and is told that he just needs to keep an eye on the place and answer the phone if any one calls.

Some one does call about the gauze they ordered being 2 months late and Tokka is able to deliver the message to the club members, boosting his expression rank! The missing member of the club finally does show up and it turns out to be the brother of Saki, the first victim. Back at home Tokka finds in the fridge ingredients to make lunch for tomorrow.

June 10th

At lunch Tokka shares the food he made with Yosuke, who loves it, and then meets up with Ai to cut the rest of classes together.

Ai's idea of a rebellious way to spend time instead of school is to go shopping down town with Tokka literally left holding the bag. Tokka needed his courage to be at "brave" for this? Well, at least it builds a new social link for moon persona.

Back at school Tokka finds Saki's brother in the hall and they have a brief conversation, but no social link is made, I'm betting it would be the death card if they do make a link. At soccer practice Tokka still hasn't had that conversation with the coaches about what's wrong, maybe next time.

Back at home it seems that Adachi really was following the group since Dojima started asking about Tokka hanging around with Kanji and spending so much time in the Junes electronics department. Before Tokka is able to come up with answers for any of these questions Nanako stops him from giving Tokka such a hard time. At least the confrontation increased their social link.

June 10th

At lunch the gang (minus Kanji who is in a grade lower) gatherers together for instant noodles and to talk about the upcoming school camping trip. The 4 of them some how managed to wind up in the same group (separate tents, much to Yosuke's disappointment) and the camping trip is really just an excuse to get the students to clean up the mountain.

After class the group go into the TV to find that another powerful shadow is living in the top room of the bath house. After replacing Yosuke with Kanji in the party (so he could gain experience) they all traveled up to the 11th floor of the bath house, only to find an oversize version of those weird shadows cops. The shadow was weak to electricity but had a really strong defense and powerful wind and ice attacks. Unfortunately Chie is weak to ice and Kanji is weak to wind so they were both quickly killed off, then with only Tokka and Yukiko left the shadow gradually wore both of them down until killing Tokka.

I then decided to swap Yukiko with Yosuke since he's strong to wind and ice and Kanji could still use electric attacks until he's killed off again. By using a pattern of Tokka attacking with Zap, Yosuke healing Yukiko, and then Yukiko attacking to draw the shadow's counter attack, the 3 of them managed to kill the shadow long after Kanji was killed off. For a reward Tokka got a bunch of money, experience, and a boost in courage, while Kanji picked up a new weapon.

That evening Tokka finally had enough expression (thanks to the time spent at the student clinic) to explain death to Nanako, and even though she didn't understand everything it still boosted their social link.
