Well somethign I did may have triggered a plot point, I think. Niko's cousin gets kidnapped and I had to save him, and after that Niko gets a new safe house in a luxury apartment. This may be a plot point (last change of address was) or just an award for getting enough money, no way to tell.
This is sort of like a TV series where you don't know what episodes are filler until after the season ends, still interesting filler though.
