Niko and his cousin set up shop in an apartment close to where the cousin's girl friend lives, and Niko then starts arning money helping out around the area. Fortunately for him the area is full of drug dealers and vigilantes who need help killing off various people. Also the cousin got his insurance money for his shop burning down and started up another, so sympathy for him lasted all of 2 days game time.
An annoying thing is that after several missions the car you used disappears, forcing me to either hoof it to the next location or just load the auto save if the location is near the apartment. One time I went on a mission and the NPC drove off with my car (after the last owner passed away), which was never seen from again...
