Bottle episode

chapter 8 was rather different, it actually had 2 missions in it while all the ones previously had one.

In the first mission Welkin and Alicia get separated from the rest of the squad when an explosion sends them down a cliff. They then have to make their way through the forest at night, not only avoiding enemy mortar and soldiers but also dealing with Alicia's sprained ankle limiting her mobility. The trickiest part was when they get to a clearing that a machine gunner is stationed at, he kept killing no mater what I did and if either character goes down it's an instant game over. Finally I was able to use some tall grass to give them enough cover that they got past with about 10% health left.

The second mission was to get Welkin back to the rest of the squad on the other side of the map and take over an enemy strong hold. there were so many enemies on the map that when I first tried to take them all out they killed the whole squad. Eventually I decided to only target the ones directly in my way and just get through as fast as possible, which worked out and finished the mission.

This chapter didn't really advance the story much, but more was to develop the connections between the characters.
