May 25th (continued)
Even though most of the group still had full energy and health I decided not to go back into the bathhouse dungeon and just sent Tokka home. When there Nanako wanted to talk and this time it triggered a story advancing sequence. Dojima calls and says he's coming home so Nanako starts to get supper ready, but they're out of pickled radishes so her ant Tokka go to Junes to get some, increasing their social link. When they get back Dojima is waiting for them and scolds Nanako for going out so late.

An uneventful day, soccer practice didn't increase any social ranks and that evening Tokka just read his book.

Before sending Tokka to his part time job I decided to reorganize his personas so that he had all ones that corresponds to the social links he currently had, which would hopefully give them a little boost in advancing. At the day care job Eri talks to Tokka about her husband sprang that he had a son late in their relationship and then went to China shortly after they were married due to work, leaving her with a step son that doesn't like her at all. All this leads to another advancement in their social rank.

May 28th
Daisuke the soccer coach is acting strange at Tokka's practice today, barely even being able to keep up with the first year students. Then after practice a girl comes by that seems to know him and he awkwardly brushes her off.

Kou the basketball coach then comes by and tells Tokka that there is something important he needs to talk to him about Daisuke the next chance they get. All this of course raises the social rank again.

That nigh Yukiko calls up and suggests that they take another stab at the dungeon tomorrow. Since it's Sunday it seems as good a plan as any.

Before going of into the TV again Tokka checks out the TV shopping program again. This time they are offering either a Steel Planier armor or 4 Ball Lightnings, since I found several of the armor already in the dungeon I go for the lighting.

Progress goes smoothly up the remaining floors by using a tactic of minimal exploring but still killing everything in the way for leveling. Along the way there were some odd card selections, like one time where there were 3 null cards, 4 penalty cards, and just one persona card, I sure didn't like those odds! Another extra card that once turned up was a death card, I certainly couldn't think of any positive effect that could bring either way up so I just left it!

Finally on the 11th floor the group finds Kanji and his shadow arguing. It seems all this homoeroticism comes from Kanji feelings towards how girls see his interest in textiles as effeminate and his aggressive manner monstrous, while guys wouldn't judge him so harshly. Not from any actual gay leanings (aside from the confusion GIRL causes).

The shadow then powers up and turns into a surprisingly average looking monster, compared to the other people's shadows, with the shadow's torso connected to a giant muscular black and white body holding two giant male symbols. It was also surprisingly easy to beat, while it was a long fight neither the shadow or it's two helpers ever did much damage and the group just whittled away at him until he was done.

After the fight Kanji decks his shadow self and admits that he's just afraid of rejection in general, this unlocks his persona that can only be described as a huge skeleton death bot! It's odd since all the other personas looked like humanoid versions of the shadow monsters, but this one shares no resblance other than being huge and having black and white markings.

Back at home Dojima tells Tokka that Kanji was found and reminds him to stay out of trouble.

At school Yukiko wanted to meet with Tokka after school but I have drama calls planed for him, and King Moron was being his usual charming self...

I don't know if the reorganised personas are helping since both at drama practice and while talking to Nanako that night neither social linked advanced any ranks, they just grew a little. Oh well, can't advance them all.

May 31st
At drama club Tokka and Yumi talked about how her mother was struggling between work and looking after her ex-husband and how Yumi was trying to focus just on practicing. Advancing the social link rank again.

That night there was food in the fridge to make lunch for tomorrow, grilled beef to be exact, and since Chie seems to be quite the little carnivore I think I'll have Tokka share it with her. The odd thing is that the question that's given while making the lunch was what item should be used to substitute salt...

Sugar!? That's the kind of messed up substitution that Akane Tendo would make!
So tomorrow it's a new day and the start of a new month...
