Well New Vegas is very much a continuation of Fall out 3, it's like the wanderer from vault 101 just headed south and became a courier. The environment looks the same, the people look the same, most of the monsters are the same, and the building are VERY the same. Not that's it's much of a bad thing.
Since the game has 4 factions you can side with, I'm using a rough guide which involves getting all the achievement in 4 play-throughs. The first run through i'm using the new "hard core" mode, where your character's water, food, and seep levels affect their health, along with a few other new challenges. Fortunately the hard core mode is not directly linked to dificulity, so I ironically have it on Very Easy.
So far the plot is that my character has been shot in the head and is not looking for the ones responsible. Also there are remembering about a big fight over the hover dam.
