Well I beat the arena owner, it was easier than it was the first time I tried (must have been bad luck), and I got the next star crystal.
After that I tracked down the next star to a village of twilight (quite different than the one Link went to, and no sparkly vampires) which has one small problem...
People are turning into pigs!
So now mario has to navigate through this bleak dark landscape and reach a evil bell tower where some one is cursing the villager in to swine, and still find the star crystal (which is most likely being used for the transmogrification).
So far I think I'm just half way to the tower, and the bad guys are much tougher, but at least Mario has a new ablity to roll up like a tube and roll under places.
