Fire good!

Progressed to the second boss of the first world, a gigantic suit of armor, narrowly averting disaster along the way.

The level was much more linear than the previous one, but still chock full of monsters and even a dragon, and between my first attempt at the boss fight and several tries getting back I had used up almost all my healing items. Also my weapon was getting close to breaking, but fortunetly I caught it in time and ungraded it, then I scrounged around for enough souls to have a decent amount of healing items in back up. After a few more tries at the giant armor I tried using an item that lights my sword on fire and that did MUCH more damage, bringing down the boss in a few hits.

With defeating the boss I gained enough souls to buy armor for my head and legs and also upgrade several of my levels. Now that I'm all suited up and even stronger the only remaining problem is a force field blocking off the third stage, so it looks like I'll take on world 2-1 tomorrow.
