Well, after finishing a few more side quests and trashing the lotus assassins base I got to fly my airship to the palace and face the emperor (who turns out to be behind everything) and save my character's master (thought the game was a little short but still good)... and then my character's master kills me.
Damn.
It turns out that the kind and noble master is actual just as evil and insane as his brother the emperor, and was just using my character to kill off his brother and collect up and the magical items I was destined to collect to gain him more power.
It's a great plot twist but now I am stuck with a bunch of questions until I have time to play it tomorrow. Are all my companions dead? do I find new ones? Do I just have to get back to life and kill the master? Is this only the first half of the story?
To top it off, tomorrow my holiday vacation is finality over so I can go back to work, but it also means I have less time to play the game in the evening.
