I forgot to mention last time that Bowser has also joined the party, which now clearly has assigned roles. Peach tackles the tricky platforming elements with her float, Bowser attacks all the enemies with his fire breath, and Mario handles the puzzle solving with his perspective shifting. It's interesting how they broke up the 3 key aspects of the game into each character.
One thing that was retained from the previous Paper Mario games is the change of genre each chapter. The previous chapter had a video game theme with the retro 8-bit feel and dating sim element, while this one takes place in space and even has side scrolling shooter areas.
The last boss surprisingly was a brain washed Luigi, and he was rather powerful. Too bad he can't get his own decent game.
