Got a huge amount done, clearing out the remainder of the area I was on and also another section and the trails.
The trails were secrect bonus areas that were an extreme version of the alternate gameplay modes in the game: Ray-surfing, Bubble blowing, and Sling-shoting. While nowhere near as hard as the bonus levels of Sunshine, they were a challenge just because the size and having to do them all in one shot.
Since I have been cleaning out every areas as I go, I was so far ahead in my star count that I could have gone on to the final boos battle before even touching the last two areas, but I wanted to see all the game had. The game is getting kinda harder, but not from more skill being needed, just the worlds are getting bigger and the spaces between checkpoints are wider, so dying becomes more tedious.
The game dosen't save the number of lives you have for some reason, so inorder to keep the stockpile of 40 lives I built up for the final area I had to leave the Wii on over night. This is some old school Nintendo but not in a good way, I just hope that Galaxy 2 has some crazy hard areas like the Sunshine bonus levels.
