Started playing Catherine today and it's a very odd game...
The game play is split between story segments where you can talk to people and answer e-mails that affect to flow of the story, and the weird frantic puzzle platforming levels where you have to climb up blocks to survive.
The platforming segments are intense, but the 360's controller is a little too inaccurate for it. The analogue stick is a little too lose, causing me to some times run off the side, and the D-pad is a little to stiff, making quick movements tricky. It may have been better if I got the PS3 version, oh well...
For the story side I'm a little conflicted. The main plot revolves around Vincent dealing with choosing between is long term girlfriend Katherine who wants to settle down into the typical married life, and the easy going impulsive girl Catherine who seduces him. For my first play through I'm making all choices the way that I personally would make them, siding with Katherine and leaning towards good. The problem is that Catherine is voiced by Laura Bailey (in a kinda older version of her Rise voice)! Oh well, I'll hear enough of her in the other playthroughs.
