Well the plot thickens...
Someone has been going around killing off members of the rescue team, and it looks like it's one of the team members. And that fuzzy rabbit creature that keeps evolving turns out to be a cloned Ridley in his baby form (who knew he was a cute kid?).
Samus finally tracks down the person in charge of the station and it's revealed that they have cloned Metroids froum the remains they found on Samus' suit right after Super Metroid (and accidentally cloning some Ridley blood). To control the Metroids they also made an AI version of Mother Brain (like the AI from Prime 3 I bet) that has gone out of control. The scientist in charge also says that the commander is the one running the show, but I suspect that's a lie.
So Samus has to kill all the Metroids, stop the AI Mother Brain, stop whoever is trying to kill her, figure out what's REALLY going on, and probally escape the station before it self-destructs...
